Basketball star Scottie Pippen’s eldest child has died.

The NBA Hall of Famer revealed his son Antron Pippen’s death, aged 33, on Twitter on Monday

In a wholehearted homage, the 55-year-old said Antron might have made it to the NBA had it not been for his persistent asthma.

Antron’s cause of death was not instantly clear.

The 33-year-old was Pippen’s only kid from his first marital relationship to Karen McCollum. The pair were wed for 2 years from 1988 to 1990.

Antron is the eldest of all seven of Pippen’s children.

Scottie Pippen announced his child Antron Pippen’s death, aged 33, on Twitter on Monday.

‘ I’m heartbroken to share that the other day, I bid farewell to my firstborn child Antron. The 2 of us shared a love for basketball and we had countless discussions about the game,’ Pippen, who won 6 NBA champions with the Chicago Bulls, tweeted.

‘ Antron experienced persistent asthma and if he had not had it, I really believe he would’ve made it to the NBA. He never ever let that get him down, though – Antron stayed favorable and strove, and I am so pleased with the guy that he ended up being.

‘ Please keep his mother, Karen, and all of his friends and family in your thoughts and prayers. A kind heart and gorgeous soul gone method too soon. I like you, child, rest simple up until we reunite.’

Antron followed in his daddy’s steps to play basketball ball at Texas A&M International University.

He likewise played at South Georgia Technical College back in the 2006-2007 season.

Antron later played with the World Basketball Association after signing to South Carolina’s Upstate Heat team in around 2013.
